There’s more to Dragonflies than just good bass fishing bait. The St. Germain Fish and Wildlife Club will host Licia Johnson who will present a program titled “Discovering Dragonflies” on Thursday March 24th at 7pm at the St. Germain Community Center. The presentation/meeting location will return to the Primetimer room as it was pre-pandemic. Johnson is a naturalist at the North Lakeland Discovery Center and is locally known for her informative and entertaining wildlife presentations. Evolving over 300 million years ago, dragonflies can fly backwards, intercept prey mid-air, see 360 degrees around them, and they live most of their lives underwater! Join us on an exploration of the life history of these wonderful winged creatures as we dive and swoop into their interesting body parts, habitat requirements, and importance in our environment.
